SalzBergen: Exploring the Intersection between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Edvard Grieg

The Edvard Grieg Society of the Great Lakes is hosting its inaugural conference at Goshen College on May 19-20! Guests include Njal Sparbo, celebrated Norwegian bass- baritone (GC guest in Nov. 2015); Elkhart County native Amy Kauffman, violinist; and eminent Grieg translator Dr. William Halverson.

- SATURDAY, 7:30pm. Rieth Hall. Tickets $10 at door only

LECTURES:SATURDAY 1:30-5:30pm. MC153. Free. Includes Keynote address; Discussion of Grieg's article on Mozart; Performance of Grieg's 2-piano arrangements of Mozart sonatas; Vocal Panel Discussion; and "Emotion through Song", a comparative performance of Grieg and Mozart songs.

PRE-COLLEGE PIANO COMPETITION:SATURDAY, 8:00am-12:45pm. Rieth Hall. Free.
