Joseph Shetler and Jordan Kauffman Gallery Exhibition

Jordan Kauffman and Joseph Shetler are both art alumni of Goshen College, and both have recently completed a M.F.A. degree. This exhibit will feature work by both artists, and is free and open to the public.

Jordan Kauffman received his B.A. in art with an emphasis in graphic design from Goshen College in 2011, and his Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Kent State University in 2017. Kauffman's research focuses on the intersection of social innovation design, entrepreneurship, and project evaluation. Kauffman is currently continuing his research at the University of Notre Dame as the Visual Communication Design Research Associate in the department of Art, Art History and Design. In addition, Kauffman is a partner at Lighbox Collective, a design collective in downtown Goshen, where he works with a variety of clients in teh non-profit, for-profit and social innovation sectors.

Joseph Shetler (born Goshen, Indiana) is an American post-minimalist artist. He approaches post-minimalism with a Mennonite lens, basing his aesthetic off of ana-baptist theology and simple way of life as well as art history. He was educated at Hesston College (A.A. 2004), Goshen College (B.A. 2006), and Arizona State University (M.F.A. 2014). Joseph has participated in residencies at Pyramid Atlantic, Ragdale, Anderson Ranch, and Vermont Studio Center. He lives in Washington, DC.

The Hershberger Art Gallery, located in Sauder Music Center, is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and weekends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. The Gallery is closed during campus holidays.
