Writing the World: A Conversation with Global Award-Winning Writers and Editors

This global conversation will feature a group of award-winning editors, fiction writers and literary critics from England, Scotland, Sierra Leone, Bosnia and Zimbabwe talking about their work and writing for a global audience.

John Freeman was editor of Granta, Londonâ??s leading literary magazine until 2013 and is an anthologist of world literature. Aminatta Forna is an award-winning novelist from Scotland and Sierra Leone. Aleksander Hemon is a Bosnian-American fiction writer who won a MacArthur Genius Award. And Ellah Wakatama Allfrey, a 1988 Goshen College graduate originally from Zimbabwe, is currently Goshen Collegeâ??s Visiting Scholar. A leading literary editor and critic in London, she was a judge for the prestigious 2015 Man Booker Prize.
