Concerto-Aria Concert
Student winners of the 52nd annual Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition
will perform with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra in the 52nd Annual
Concerto-Aria Competition Concert. The Goshen College Symphony Orchestra
is conducted by Christopher Fashun.
The winners of the 2011-2012 Concerto-Aria Competition are:
- Martin Brubaker, baritone ? performing "Madamina, il catalogo è questo" from Don Giovanni [Mozart]
- Stephanie Hollenberg, soprano ? performing "Caro nome" from Rigoletto [Verdi]
- Lisa Horst, piano ? performing Piano Concerto No. 5 in F Major "Egyptian", mvt. 1 [Saint-Saëns]
- Levi Smucker, composition ? debuting his new composition "The Book of Job"
- Elspeth Stalter, violin & Justin Yoder, cello ? performing Concerto in A minor for violin & cello, Op. 102, mvt. 1 [Brahms]
Tickets: $7 adults, $5 senior/students, available at the door one hour before the concert. GC students/faculty/staff free with ID.
