Newcomer 19

Campus worship night - special night with Shane Hipps

Campus Worship Night is a student-led time for worship of God and supportively connecting with one another in a safe, comfortable, and relaxed setting in Newcomer 19. Take a mid-week break, and carve out some intentional space to be with God and with friends.

Join us this evening as Shane Hipps talks with us about "Living a Vibrant Christian Life as a College Student." Shane Hipps is pastor of Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale, Arizona and lives close by with his wife, Andrea and daughter, Harper.

Before earning a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, he was a strategic planner in advertising where he worked on a variety of national brands. The majority of his time was spent developing and implementing the multimillion dollar communications strategy for Porsche Cars North America. It was here that he first gained experience in understanding media and culture.

Shane is a member and presenter for the Media Ecology Association, an organization of scholars and laypeople who investigate the impact of communication technology and media on cultures and individuals. He is also a featured essayist for the award winning metaphilm.com, a website devoted to cultural critique and film interpretation.
