The Farmstead at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College

Enchanted Forest

What?s a skunk?s favorite game in school? Show and smell! What do you get if you cross a skunk and an owl? A bird that stinks but doesn?t give a hoot!

Those two nocturnal animals and bunch of other animals that come out at night will be on the trail with you at the 23rd annual Enchanted Forest at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. The animals will magically speak English for two nights only. On Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

You and your family will be able to go on a guided night hike to meet these nighttime animals to find out where the live, what they do, and any other questions you wanted to ask them! You can even tell them nocturnal animal jokes!

Located at Wolf Lake, Indiana, Merry Lea offers its alternative to Halloween. The Enchanted Forest takes place at the Merry Lea Farmstead off US 33 at the junction of State Road 109 and County Road 425 W.

It also includes family musical entertainment, hot chocolate and snacks for only $2.50 per person. Tickets are sold at the barn.

We are also holding our 3rd Annual El Bosque Encantado (a spanish speaking version of the Enchanted Forest) at Shanklin Park on October 20 from 7-8:30 p.m. $1 per person. ¡Esperamos versos allí!
