Faculty Recital Series- Jennet Ingle, Oboe

Jennet Ingle, Goshen College adjunct instructor of oboe, will present an oboe recital with pianist Paul Hamilton on Friday, March 7, 2014 in Rieth Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Ingle's program, titled "Music That SHOULD Have Been Composed for Oboe," will feature works transcribed for oboe and piano by George Gershwin, Felix Mendelssohn, J.S. Bach, and Maurice Ravel. Tickets are $7 adults, $5 seniors/students, available at the door one hour before the concert. Goshen College faculty/staff/students are free with ID.

Jennet Ingle has been noted for her ?extraordinary artistry and virtuosity? (Illinois Times) and for her ?intimacy and spirit of fun? (State Journal-Register). A generous performer and articulate speaker, she is a passionate advocate for classical music. She has appeared as soloist with, among others, the Rochester (NY) Philharmonic Orchestra, the Illinois Chamber Orchestra, and the Pine Mountain Music Festival, and most recently with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Eric Ewazen?s Down a River of Time. She is in demand as an orchestral player and has appeared with such esteemed groups as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Milwaukee Symphony, and the Rochester Philharmonic. Since 1998 she has owned and operated Jennet Ingle Reeds, specializing in customized oboe, English horn, and oboe d?amore reeds. Jennet is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.
