Join St. Joseph Valley Camerata and music director Scott Hochstetler in their first concert of the year entitled "Madrigals and Motets." Ranging from delightfully playful and heartstring-pulling English and Italian madrigals to rich and poignant German and Austrian motets, this concert includes works by Dowland, Monteverdi, Arcadelt, Farmer, Tomkins, Bruckner and more. The centerpiece is the deeply moving "Komm, Jesu komm" by J. S. Bach featuring double choir with organ and cello continuo. Guest artists include Southwestern Michigan College Select Voices under the director of Camerata tenor Dave Carew, cellist David Machiavariani and keyboard artist Chara Sonntag. Freewill offering will be taken; $10 suggested donation.
