Spring Mainstage: The Marriage of Figaro, by Mozart

An energetic, light-hearted romp through the day of a wedding ceremony, Le Nozze di Figaro includes disguises, cross-dressing, mistaken identities, people jumping out of windows, and the lascivious head of a household. Raising the issues of power, privilege, class conflict, love, and friendship, this fully staged eighteenth century comic opera, composed by W. A. Mozart and sung in both English and Italian (with super titles), is presented by the Goshen College music and theater departments and set in 21st century New York City.
