Art Gallery reception: Merrill Krabill Sabbatical Exhibit
During the 2006-07 school year, Goshen College Professor of Art Merrill Krabill
spent his sabbatical working with mixed media pieces, particularly ceramics and
photography, that explore boundaries. He writes in his artist statement: "This
latest body of work shows itself in images that are light (in value and weight)
combined with sculptural forms that are solid and heavy. I think of the pieces as
being at the boundary between two places. They often have elements that seem
gate or window-likepassageways."
This reception, coinciding with Homecoming Weekend, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. The exhibit will run thru Oct. 18.
