GC faculty and students will perform two short operas, opening this coming weekend. Dido and Aeneas by Purcell (1688) and The Old Maid and the Thief by Menotti (1939). The first is a tragedy based on a romantic story from Greek mythology. The second is a comedy about a busybody and love gone wrong.
