Visiting Artist Recital: Radoslav Kvapil, solo piano

Acclaimed pianist Radoslav Kvapil will visit Goshen College to perform a solo piano recital on Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Rieth Recital Hall.

A world-renowned Czech pianist, Radoslav Kvapil was born in Brno, Moravia, and was taught from the age of six by Dr. Ludvmk Kundera, Leo Janaceks closest disciple and successor. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Kvapil has been commended by music critics for his sterling service for the cause of Czech piano music, and has also been praised as an unrivalled master, the greatest performer of piano works by Smetana, Janacek or Martinu, a magician at the keyboard.

The program will feature solo piano works by Dvorak, Smetana, Debussy, and Chopin.

Tickets are $7 adults, $5 seniors/students, available at the door before the concert. GC students are free with valid ID.
