Concerto-Aria Concert
Winners of the 2010-2011 Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition will
perform with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Prof.
Christopher Fashun.
Performers:
- Andrea Detwiler, mezzo-soprano -- performing "Non piu mesta" from La Cenerentola (Gioacchino Rossini)
- Amy Hansen, soprano -- performing "Alleluia" from Exsultate, Jubilate (W.A. Mozart)
- Justin Yoder, cello -- performing first movement of Cello Concerto in B-flat Major, G. 482 (Luigi Boccherini)
- Ana Yoder, piano -- performing Capriccio Brillante, Op. 22 (Felix Mendelssohn)
- Emily Trapp, piano -- performing first movement of Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major, Op. 15 (Ludwig van Beethoven)
The GCSO will also perform Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21.
Tickets are $7 adults, $5 seniors/students, available at the door one hour before the concert. GC students, faculty and staff are free with valid ID.
