Exhibit: Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist, Hung Liu

Hung Liu earned a B.A. in education at Beijing Teacher's College before studying mural painting at Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Art. In 1986 she earned an M.F.A. from the University of California, San Diego. Liu has received numerous awards, including two painting fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in such venues as the Smithsonian Institution, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, the National Museum of American Art and the Walker Center. She currently resides in Oakland, Calif., and is a professor of visual arts at Mills College.

Ms. Liu will present a public lecture Sunday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Rieth Hall; a reception in the gallery will immediately follow. The exhibit is available until March 3.
