The History Dept. and the Mennonite Historical Society join in inviting the community to a reception celebrating the publication of a new book by Theron F. Schlabach, History Prof. Emeritus at Goshen College. The book, _War, Peace and Social Conscience: Guy F. Hershberger and Mennonite Ethics_ (Herald Press, 2009), is a biography that traces the issues and development of Mennonite pacifism and social ethics through much of the 20th century. The reception/book signing will be from 3:30-5:00 in the Koinonia Rooms of the College Mennonite Church, with a short program from 4:00-4:30. All are welcome!
