Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb - "Preoccupied: A Travel Journey of Betrayal and Hope in the Holy Land"
Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb shares stories she heard from people on many sides
of a growing divide. She travels the terrain of brutality and betrayal,
hope and courage that shape the landscape Palestinians and Jews inhabit
in America and Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. Lynns unique
style of storytelling theatre addresses a sensitive subject with pathos
and humor, rugged honesty and an unflinching gaze into the ways we
justify violence. A brief dialogue with follows the performance for those
who want to stay and engage in a conversation with Lynn.
Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb is a Klezmer dancer, author, percussionist, ritual artist and storyteller. She has studied puppetry and acting since childhood and has been performing original work to critical acclaim since 1974 throughout the United States, Canada, Israel and Europe.
This event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
