Workshop with M.J. Beinvenu on Deaf Culture
Bienvenu was born and raised in Baton Rouge, La., and attended the Louisiana School for the Deaf, graduating in 1969. She comes from an all-deaf family and is a native user of ASL. She has authored several articles and presented numerous workshops nationally as well as internationally. Currently Beinvenu is an assistant professor at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and chairperson of the Department of ASL and Deaf Studies there.

This workshop is being offered for .7 CEUs in the Content area of American Sign Language, Advanced Instructional Level for RID.
