Sherer String Trio Debut Concert

The Sherer String Trio, a new resident string trio, will present a concert and dedication in Sauder Hall on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The Sherer String Trio is comprised of Community School of the Arts teachers Jessie Sark, violin, Rosalyn Troiano, viola, and Brook Bennett, cello. The Sherer Trio is named after and dedicated to former Goshen College music professors Lon and Kathryn Sherer.

The Trio will perform works by Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms. Goshen College music professor Matthew Hill will also perform with the Trio. There will be a dedication of the group by campus minister Sylvia Shirk Charles and a series of readings.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and are available at the Welcome Center. Families with children in the Community School of the Arts can receive a pass for free admittance at the door. GC students free with valid ID.
