Some 300 middle and high school students gather to work as teams on about 30 events to earn individual medals and team points. Teams with the highest point totals are invited to represent this regional in the state tournament at Bloomington.

Team registration occurs from 7:30 - 8 am. Public events begin at 8:15 am with the Opening Ceremony in the Church, individual events at various places on the hour from 9 am - 3 pm, and the Awards Ceremony from 3:15 to 5 pm in the church. There is no cost to guest observers and families of participants.
