HIV/AIDS testing: a Healthy Choices Week event

HIV/AIDS is a health concern that involves relationships since more than half of all new HIV infections are among people under the age of 25, and most in this group are infected sexually. The Elkhart County Health Department will visit campus from 10:30 am to 3 pm to provide free HIV testing. The test is performed with a mouth swab and it will require a confidential follow-up session in 4 weeks for the test result. The testing is confidential and anonymous. No one at Goshen College will receive the test results and it will not be included on your medical record. To encourage testing, the CHAW committee will make a monetary donation to the AIDS Community Action Group (CAG) based on the number of tests performed. CAG is a local organization that assists people within our community who have AIDS.
