Celebrate Scholar Day
Academic achievement is worthy of celebration! If you are an applicant to Goshen College and are applying for the President's Leadership Award, Music Department Achievement Award, Gorsline Scholarship in Theater, Communications and Business or the Anglemyer Education Fund we invite you to join us in celebrating your exceptional high school achievements with a day designed to honor you, your parents and the joy of learning.
Seven years ago we began a new tradition of recognizing academic excellence at Goshen College. We continue that tradition this year with "Celebrate Scholar Day" on Saturday, February 12, 2005. You and your parents are invited to join other high school scholars at Goshen College for this special event. Celebrate Scholar Day activities will include:
- An honors luncheon for you and your parents, during which you will be recognized
for your academic accomplishments and special talents.
- Outstanding Honors presentations on stimulating topics by professors and
students.
- Introductions to our unique Study-Service Term, co-curricular activities,
challenging Honors program and general education program.
- Leadership opportunities for students like you.
- Information about your scholarship and financial aid.
- Sessions specifically for parents about their preparation for the college
transition.
- Interviews and auditions will be held for students applying for the President's
Leadership Award, Music Department Achievement Awards, Gorsline Scholarships
in Theater, Communications and Business, and the Anglemyer Education Fund.
- Interviews with specific coaches or professors can be arranged.
We look forward to welcoming you and your parents to personally congratulate
you, answer any final questions you may have about Goshen College and introduce
you to our other scholarship candidates.
