Change is a constant in American higher education as presidents and deans attempt to keep abreast of the latest theories and practices. Complicating the educational enterprise are an increasingly diverse and more widely traveled student body, an ever-expanding body of knowledge, and new technologies such as the Internet. President Shirley H. Showalter will review ways Goshen College has adapted to changing trends in higher education and lay out her vision for the college's role in the years immediately ahead.
