Del McCoury has a long history of making bluegrass music with various bands through the years. His sharp tenor voice awakens all the soulful images of traditional bluegrass. When his sons joined him in the late 1980's, he formed the Del McCoury Band, which has garnered many International Bluegrass Music Association awards, winning the 2003 Bluegrass Band of the Year.
