"Reconsidering Gender and Human Rights in Africa: The Igbo Example"
Guest speaker, Obiama Nnaemeka is a native Nigerian Igbo woman, who writes about Africa and gender, particularly in literature. In addition to scholarly work, public speaking, and teaching, she is the head of IUPUI's Women's Studies program, the President of the Association of African Women Scholars, and the first
recipient of the IUPUI Women's Studies Faculty Achievement Award.
