Yoder Lecture - Peggy Wehmeyer - Religion correspondent for ABC

"Religion, Journalism, and Public Policy"

ABC News correspondent Peggy Wehmeyer was the first major network journalist to focus her reporting efforts on spiritual and religious themes. Her reports for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and 20/20 have included investigative stories on religious Internet sites and an interview with President Bill Clinton about his spirituality.

Attentive to the importance of religion in individual lives and society, Wehmeyer explores the serious religious or moral angles of her stories and has established a reputation for accurately representing different faiths.

Wehmeyer has received two Cine Golden Eagle awards, an International Film and Video Festival award and a Covenant award from the Southern Baptist Radio and Television Commission.
