Dr. Friesen will present his molecular biological and biochemical research on a critical enzyme in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine (PC), a major phospholipid component of eukaryotic cell membranes which is also linked to a variety of cellular processes, including the cell cycle, cell death, and vesicular traffic.
