DEI Coordinator Richard R. Aguirre was recently selected as the new Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Goshen. He has been transitioning to his new full-time position, and his last day at Goshen College will be Tuesday, Aug. 10. Although happy to serve the public and lead an important office, Richard is sad to be leaving friends, colleagues and students. While excited for Richard, we share those mixed emotions. Since arriving in December 2006 to become Director of Public Relations (later Communication and Marketing), Richard has served GC in diverse roles: co-director (with Judy Weaver) of SST in Peru, Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations in the Advancement Office and Community Impact Coordinator for Student Life. He also helped GC build strong relationships with the Latinx community. To say goodbye to Richard, Student Life will host an ice cream reception in Schrock Plaza at 4 p.m. on Aug. 10. Please join us!
