Please join us to welcome the work of retired art professor Randy Horst as his exhibit "Inside Voices" opens in the Abner Hershberger Art Gallery, inside the Goshen College Music Center. Randy taught art, art history and graphic design at Goshen College for 13 years. As an artist, Randy has exhibited his mixed media drawings and collages in regional and national exhibits.

From Randy's "Inside Voices" Artist Statement: "For hundreds of years, artists have mined the rich stories of the Bible. Teaching Art History for many years has inspired me to apply my own curiosity and skill to that material. As an artist, I'm most interested in psychological portraits that examine the human condition. I'm not attempting a specific historical representation nor to illustrate a narrative. Rather, the stories of Biblical and Christian characters provide me with a starting point from which to explore our emotional responses to life's challenges, to our expectations about who we are and how we would like our lives to be, and to our encounters with the divine."

The reception begins at 2:00 p.m. with an Artist Talk beginning at 3:30 p.m.. The exhibit will continue on display in the gallery until March 19.
