"More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Indiana Women" by Dr. Anita Stalter, Vice President for Academic Affairs & Academic Dean and Rachel Lapp, Adjunct Professor of Communication

Did you know that an Indiana suffrage leader shared a stage with Susan B. Anthony? Or that Madam C.J. Walker, a spectacularly successful African-American entrepreneur, was a proponent of life-long education? These Indiana women are two of the ten, profiled in the book, More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Indiana Women, who have amde significant contributions to Hoosier life in history. This mother-daughter team will share the challenges and joys of working together to research and write a book giving voice to women in state history.
