Sara Method Reception and Artist Talk

Please join the Goshen College Art Department in welcoming Sara Method, Assistant Professor of Art to Goshen College, and to her first show in the Abner Hershberger Art Gallery.

Entitled "a sense of place", Sara's artist statement includes the following: "My work is inspired by divisions and co-existence observed both in nature and in personal histories. As an artist and researcher, my process of making uses drawing, printmaking, narratives, and fibers to explore ideas of our relationship to the natural world and each other. In particular, I am studying physical and natural boundaries and ways of bridging divides. Some boundaries are not apparent, and others must be unearthed in memories and dreams."

Sara Method received her BA in Painting from Salem College, a MA in Art History from the University of Notre Dame, and a MFA in Studio Art from Western Carolina University in 2020.

The opening reception will begin at 5:30 pm, with an artist talk to begin at 6:15 pm. These events are free and open to the public, refreshments will be served.

The Hershberger Art Gallery is located inside the Goshen College Music Center. The Gallery is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m.. The Gallery is also open during events located inside the Music Center.
