Biodiesel Project Celebration on Earth Day

With support from the new Eco-Stewardship Committee, a group of four GC chemistry major students planned and built a biodiesel project that will convert used cooking grease from the dining hall into biodiesel for campus use. It is now completed and we want to celebrate this exciting endeavor.

Between 2:30-4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 (Earth Day!), students, faculty and staff should stop by Schrock Plaza for tours by the student creators, information about how to do your part in caring for the earth and, of course, some FREE FRIED FOOD (creation care does not always equal body care). At 3 p.m., there will be a short gathering and presentation.
