Autumn Hope Conference: Renewing Waters

Many of us are aware of the environmental devastation humans cause, but few of us take time to experience the lessons of hope and revitalization that the earth offers. The Autumn Hope Conference is a unique and hopeful blend of fieldwork led by environmental professionals, reflection, discussion and worship. This year's theme, Renewing Waters, will focus on watersheds. Participants will follow the path water takes on Merry Lea's property and witness natural water purification. Guest speakers include Doug Kaufman, pastor of Benton Mennonite Church and Eric Kurtz, an engineering consultant who works in the area of master planning and hydraulic analysis of municipal drinkingwater systems. Cost: $60. Lodging available at Rieth Village for $15/night. Student rates available.
