Brian McLaren visit

Brian McLaren is a sought-after speaker and highly respected author focusing on the church and the postmodern cultural shift surrounding it. He is founding pastor of Cedar Ridge Community Church, an innovative, nondenominational church in the Baltimore-Washington region. McLaren is also a board member for Sojourners. Some of his most recent books are A Generous Orthodoxy, and The Secret Message of Jesus.
McLaren will speak at 3 events that are open to the public: a special Wednesday chapel Oct. 11 at 10 a.m., Thursday morning coffee break for pastors at 9:15 a.m. and Thursday evening meeting at 7:30 p.m. All of these events are in the church-chapel building.
McLaren will also speak in the Thursday noon Forum at AMBS in Elkhart.
In addition, he will meet with several classes and speak to faculty in their Thursday afternoon meeting.
McLaren's visit is the last event sponsored by the CALL project, a theological exploration of vocation program funded by Lilly Endowment.
