Sooner or later, many of us enter a dry time of life called the dark night (or the dark night of the soul). We desperately want to have a lively, loving relationship with Christbut we cant pray any more, even though wed like to. God seems distant and our spiritual practices feel empty. When this happens, you might think that your spiritual life is falling apart, but that is not true. Instead the Holy Spirit is gradually introducing you to a new way to pray. This retreat will help you to navigate through the dark night to a new horizon of intimacy and delight with God. Part of the retreat will explore some differences and similarities between the dark night and depression.

This half-day retreat for Goshen College students, sponsored by GC's Campus Ministries, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by noon, and will take place at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship, Goshen, Indiana.
