Exhibit - "Christ-Kin: The Human Side of the Bible"

Wisconsin artist Dierdre Luzwick contemporizes the life of Christ in charcoal drawings originally sponsored by the Wisconsin Arts Board. Annotated with passages from the Gospels, these images form a social commentary that is both grim and hopeful. In a world infused with commercialism, violence, ecological imbalance and technological havoc, Luzwick seeks those "pocketfuls of humanity scattered across the globe...groups of people who are not resigned to failure."

This exhibit will run through Oct. 13. The opening reception will be Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006 from 2-4 p.m.

Sponsored by the Department of Bible, Religion and Philosophy; the Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies Program; the Plowshares Grant; and Harold and Wilma Good Library.

Free and open to the public.
